TRE & Associates, LLC serves as the District Engineer for Horizon Regional MUD. In this capacity, TRE staff has designed and permitted through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) a 4.0 MGD Reverse Osmosis Treatment Plant which has been expanded over the last 10 years to 8.0 MGD. The design of this plant included a Turbidex prefilter system, a 1.0 MG ground storage feedwater tank, two booster pump stations, a 1.0 MGD Reverse Osmosis Concentrator, and evaporation ponds for concentrate disposal.
The HRMUD plant treats water for the 10,000 customers that the District currently supports in El Paso County, Texas.
